Browsing brews in Philly

One of Philadelphia’s many attractions is its micro and craft beers, and a good way to visit the various breweries and bars is with a charter bus, coach bus, party bus, mini bus, passenger coaches or school bus hired from Charter Bus Pennsylvania. With a charter bus, you and your group can travel safely and in style as you sample the various brews the city of Philadelphia as to offer.
Over a hundred years ago, Philadelphia was known as the greatest brewing center in the United States. With the advent of mass produced, or macro, brands, the specialist skill of brewing fell into decline in the city for many years. However, consumer demand for better tasting, smooth drinking brews revived the micro brewery, and today Philadelphia is rapidly becoming a go-to destination for connoisseurs of the art of brewing beer.
A good place to start your beer tour of Philly is at Iron Hill Brewery and restaurant. Iron Hill has been in business since 1996, and has won numerous awards for its distinctive, full flavored hand crafted beers. Try the Light Lager with subtle malt and hop flavors, Anvil Ale, a bitter done in the English style, Lodestone Lager, brewed in the German Helles style with an unforgettable malt taste, or Ironbound Ale, an American style pale ale with robust hop characteristic. Light food and wood fired pizzas are also served in a casual atmosphere.
Hop into your charter bus and head over to Triumph Brewing Company. This industrial modern decorated style place will grab your attention. Known for its award winning selection of home brewed lagers and ales, Triumph Brewing Company is a place where locals go for good beer. Located in the center of Philadelphia’s nightlife scene, this place also offers live music and good food. Try their Imperial Stout, of a Honey Wheat brew if you want something less robust.
